ALMA´S SOCIAL MISSION

Alma is a company with a social mission to give back to Mexico through donations to programs that fight extreme poverty. We will give a portion of the profits to IXIM, an organization that helps isolated indigenous tzetzal communities in the Lacandon Jungle in Chiapas, Mexico.

IXIM helps these communities become more self-sufficient by using women as agents for social change. Indigenous women are trained in nutrition and health issues, as well as the installation of backyard orchards, traditional bakeries and traditional crafts. IXIM helps fight anemia and malnutrition in children by providing medication and vitamins. It also teaches sustainable farming methods and provides community training on how to make better use of their natural resources.
