Charred tomato salsa MILD: “La Primera”
This salsa is smokey from dry toasting by hand all the ingredients that go into it. It is a long process to make this salsa but it yields a delicious result that makes it addictive! This is not your typical salsa from the store. Try it and you will agree. You can buy it mild or spicy.
Ingredients: Tomatoes, green tomatillos, manzano pepper, serrano pepper, árbol dried chili, onions, cilantro and garlic.
This salsa is great over huevos rancheros and can also be used on chilaquiles. People love it out of a jar with tortilla chips. It is complex and has great depth of flavor from the smokiness that comes from charring all the ingredients.
